Dale L. Friesen, Senior Consultant
Dale L. Friesen is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years professional experience. As a Certified Public Accountant, he has served in both consulting and senior management capacities.
Mr. Friesen’s professional background includes experience in a diversified spectrum of the healthcare industry. He has fulfilled specific roles as a senior financial executive in the following venues:
- Long-term acute care hospital
- Acute care hospital (a member of a regional integrated healthcare delivery system)
- Physician-owned orthopaedic practice
- Physician-owned neurology practice
Upon joining Greentree Healthcare Partners, Mr. Friesen assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer for a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) client. In this capacity, his principal responsibilities encompass the oversight and direction of all financial matters for a 64-bed facility.
Prior to joining Greentree Healthcare Partners, Mr. Friesen served in senior management roles with an integrated acute care health system, a physician-owned orthopaedic medical group and a physician-owned neurology medical group.
During the course of his healthcare career, Mr. Friesen has gained valuable expertise in the following areas:
- Enhancing the integrity of financial reporting processes.
- Interfacing with hospital and physician-owned group medical practice governing bodies.
- Integral role in a two-year affiliation process of a stand-alone acute-care community hospital with a (500+) bed regional integrated healthcare system.
- Working closely with financial leadership of an integrated healthcare system to effectively align financial reporting processes and methodologies.
- Serving as an effective liaison between a healthcare system and an affiliated community hospital.
- Advising physician leadership on objectives/sensitivities relative to the design and implementation of a new physician compensation plan.

Mr. Friesen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Economics from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
