For more than 30 years, John P. Snyder has been
a visionary force behind advances in healthcare delivery
and management. His innovative influence takes another
step with his leadership of the Greentree Healthcare
Partners team.
As an advocate for the post-acute care industry, he expanded Louisville-based EPI Corporation into the state’s largest provider of rehab and recuperative inpatient care, with more than 2,600 healthcare employees on staff. During his tenure as president and CEO, he crafted a flexible, decentralized corporate culture that allowed the company to flourish despite changes in Medicare reimbursement, even as other firms fell into financial crises.
His leadership as Chairman of the American Health Care Association’s Patient’s Rights Task Force, Facility Standards Committee and Immediate Care Conference drove progressive change for each organization. He played key roles in the 2004 passage of legislation ensuring appropriate nursing home reimbursement for individuals relying on the Medicare program, and the creation of the Kentucky Nursing Home Association.
