Christine Donadio, Consultant

Christine DonadioChristine Donadio’s healthcare experience has been diverse and includes both acute and post-acute providers. Her career began in the critical care field working in ICU/CCU and cardiac stepdown unit. Christine’s critical thinking skills and flexibility enabled her to float as a radiology nurse performing stress tests and conscious sedation for special procedures. She has also assisted in opening an outpatient CHF clinic that flourished for more than 10 years. Her experience in nursing coupled with her management skills provide the clinical expertise necessary to make sound business decisions with keeping quality patient care first priority.
 
She has worked as a registered nurse for the past 13 years. Christine’s hands-on nursing experience has broadened her healthcare background providing the necessary clinical knowledge for appropriate assessment and placement in the post-acute continuum. 

Christine is also an ACLS instructor which gives her the opportunity to teach and become a role model for other nurses. She enjoys a leadership role and can motivate others to accomplish goals set forth by the organization to ensure financial viability as well.

Ms. Donadio has over 8 years experience in the LTACH industry.  Her specific experience includes:

  • Direction of the case management function
  • Coordination of complex discharges
  • Patient screening (for LTACH admission)
  • Interface with medical records and coding
  • Negotiation of 3rd party rates

Christine was a key member of an LTACH turn-around team which implemented necessary tracking systems, educated referral sources and more effectively marketed their services to the medical community. The results were:

  • More appropriate LOS
  • Consistently higher patient satisfaction scores
